JETRO Selects Koeeru for a New Business Model Support Program
We are pleased to announce that the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has selected Koeerü’s proposal for “the design, development, and launch of a cross-border EC-CRM system targeting overseas visitors to Japan” for it’s new business model support and subsidy program.
In recent years, more and more Japanese small and medium-sized companies have begun selling their products overseas, a trend made possible by both the proliferation of cross-border online malls and payment methods as well as by support systems and cross-border EC consultants. On the other hand, many of these companies have no way to directly understand the needs of overseas consumers for both product localization and development, have no way to directly promote their products to overseas visitors and those interested in Japanese products, and no way to directly promote the re-purchase of products after visitors return to their home countries. To put it simply, many small and medium sized companies lack a direct marketing mechanism for cross-border EC sales.
The purpose of the current JETRO subsidy program is to design and develop a CRM system that promotes cross-border EC through the creation of a community of overseas “Japan Fans”. Through this community, small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to solve the above problems by being able to (1) ask questions to Japan fans during the product development process, (2) promote the re-purchase of products to the community, and (3) verify the effectiveness of direct marketing efforts.
