📝 CEO Blog: Reflecting on 2024 in the New Year

January 6, 2025

CEO Soji Nagano reflects on Koeeru’s 2024: launching the CDP, starting a Kamakura project, expanding tourism DX, entering the Global South, and launching global research services to support cross-border growth.

🎍 Happy New Year from Koeeru

Happy New Year!
2024 passed in a whirlwind, filled with activity and little time to pause. Thanks to a slightly longer New Year’s break, I’ve had time to reset both mentally and physically.

On behalf of our teams in Kamakura and Hanoi, thank you for your continued support—we look forward to working with you again in 2025.

To kick off this year’s CEO blog, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of Koeeru’s highlights from 2024.

1️⃣ Launch of the Koeeru CDP

2024 was a year when customer data became even more essential across all industries and organizations, regardless of size. The demand for smarter, more efficient operations through digital transformation (DX) and strategic data use grew stronger than ever.

In October, Koeeru officially launched the Koeeru CDP, a Customer Data Platform built on Voice of Customer (VOC). Originally developed during the COVID era, this modular SaaS product specializes in VOC collection, analysis, and utilization. Through agile development and early monetization by adopters, we succeeded in shaping a viable, scalable DX tool.

In 2025, we will continue to deliver marketing research, CX, and digital marketing solutions powered by the Koeeru CDP.

2️⃣ Local Project Launch in Kamakura

Since our founding, Koeeru has supported regional tourism marketing through co-created VOC platforms in the tourism DX space.

In 2024, we finally brought this work to our hometown of Kamakura. In April, we signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the Kamakura Tourism Association and launched a project focused on collecting visitor feedback around “Good Morning, Good Night Kamakura” to help boost tourism spending.

In December, we also kicked off a co-creation MaaS project with Shonan Monorail, targeting visibility into local overtourism challenges.

In 2025, we aim to contribute to sustainable regional problem-solving, grounded in feedback from tourists, residents, and local businesses.

3️⃣ Deepening and Evolving Tourism DX

2024 saw renewed momentum in the inbound tourism market. It also became clear that data on inbound travelers is now a strategic necessity for both local governments and businesses.

We deepened our existing tourism DX initiatives while expanding into new regions:

  • Delivered tourism marketing training combining lectures, hands-on learning, and workshops
  • Introduced frameworks for data monetization using platforms already in place

We also launched a new initiative:

  • The Regional Co-Creation Tourism CDP, which aggregates customer data, builds actionable segments, and enables personalized communications
  • Built a B2B community among local tourism operators to foster shared marketing based on data

In 2025, we will further expand our platforms and initiatives to tackle new regional challenges.

4️⃣ Expanding into the Global South

The Global South gained new visibility in 2024—and Koeeru made strategic progress in that space.

We carried out a demonstration project in Santa Cruz, Bolivia as part of an SDG-aligned business initiative, presenting results at an international symposium. We were also selected for the TSUBASA Latin America Accelerator hosted by JICA and the Inter-American Development Bank.

As part of this initiative, we entered a partnership with the San Juan Agricultural Cooperative to co-develop an agricultural DX model.

In 2025, we aim to commercialize this project and expand Koeeru’s impact in the Global South.

5️⃣ Supporting Cross-Border Growth with Research

In 2024, as the yen weakened further, public and private support for overseas expansion by Japanese businesses intensified.

Koeeru launched a new Global Research Package, helping businesses collect first-hand insights from local consumers to support each stage of international expansion—from market selection to post-entry strategy.

  • Introduced a “Global Research” package starting from ¥500,000
  • Presented seminars on data-driven international expansion, including for the Saitama SME Export Consortium

In 2025, we hope to help even more domestic companies collect timely, affordable, and actionable international insights, as inbound and outbound markets continue to thrive.

🚀 Looking Ahead: From Year 1–10 of Koeeru

As I enter my 10th year in business, our goal for 2025 is to grow Koeeru from “1 to 10.”

Grounded in the business models, systems, and results we’ve built over our startup years, our teams in Kamakura and Hanoi are committed to walking alongside our clients as trusted VOC platform partners.

We will continue to solve real-world marketing challenges with empathy, insight, and collaboration. Thank you again for your ongoing support in the year ahead.
